systems

Production and development systems are available.

Production System

A robust, ergonomic, and repeatable heat source for manual and fixtured processes.

  • Heater protection function is built-in
  • Default configuration has 10-100 SCFH flow and Fahrenheit degrees
  • Other optional configurations are available such as Euro style and/or Dual Set Point and/or Celsius degrees.

Development System

All of the features of the Production control, plus these features:

  • Regulated pressure source and pressure gage
  • 0 - 8 Bar pressure default, 0 - 20 Bar optional
  • Regulated vacuum source with 0 - 25 mm Hg vacuum
  • Front panel quick-connects for vacuum/pressure

air heaters

Multiple options.

Satellite heaters are available in benchtop and fixture versions. Fixture heaters have circuits identical to benchtop units, so processes developed on the bench can be fixtured without parameter changes.

SAT1 Heater Satellite

This heater uses all our standard-design nozzles. It has a 450-watt heater. It also has an integrated (foot switch controlled) cool air nozzle for cooling parts after heating.

SAT2 Heater Satellite

Same as SAT1, except having an 850-watt heater. This heater uses all our standard-design nozzles.

SAT4 Heater Satellite

This unit is more compact than the benchtop unit, and was designed as a module for semi-automated tooling. Heater connections to the control are custom-lengths for your fixture. Please specify umbilicus length required for your fixture. No cool line.

nozzles

Nozzles place hot air streams across your parts.

Choose a nozzle based on how much area must be heated.

  • Zero degree nozzles are used with fixtures that extend or retract the heaters. Choose this group for fixturing.
  • 45 degree nozzles allow operators to watch the parts as they are heated
Choose this group for hand operations.
  • 90 degree nozzles are used for working under microscopes.
  • Narrow nozzles heat short lengths of parts - typically 1-3 mm length
Use this for work like splicing and tube bonding.
  • Wide nozzles heat 8-10 mm length of part
Use this for heat-shrinking and laminating medium to full-length parts.
  • All nozzles come with thermo couples that attach to the satellite heater.

nozzle types

Leister Nozzles

Leister Nozzles

Leister Nozzles

Leister nozzles adapted to our heaters. Use these for hand-ops. With this nozzle configuration, operators can easily monitor their process. Heat zones are remarkably uniform, so these nozzles offer great repeatability.

Measurements:

LW10 - 13 x 10 mm

LW20 - 35 x 20 mm

LW34 - 50 x 34 mm

Wide Nozzles

Leister Nozzles

Leister Nozzles

Wide nozzles heat 8-10 mm length of parts. Use this for heat-shrinking and laminating medium to full-length parts.

3W00, 3W45, and 3W90:

Catheter slot .375" / 9.5 mm

Air slot .32" / 8 mm

Narrow Nozzles

Leister Nozzles

Narrow Nozzles

Narrow nozzles heat short lengths of parts. Typically 1-3 mm length. Use this for work like splicing and tube bonding.
